The Pioneer Historical Byway: This is a scenic drive through the historic towns and landmarks of southeastern Idaho. The byway follows the Oregon Trail and passes through several historic towns, including Soda Springs, which is home to the world’s only captive geyser, and American Falls, which was once the largest hydroelectric power plant in the world. The byway also offers views of the Snake River, the Pioneer Mountains, and the Shoshone Falls.
