When you come across the opportunity to cross off a bucket list trip of a lifetime to Oktoberfest, you do everything you can to make it happen. And that’s exactly what happened. I was able to convince 6 of my friends to join me on a partial two-week trip that would start in Amsterdam, head south through Dusseldorf, Cologne, and Frankfurt until we reached the city of Munich for Oktoberfest! But it didn’t end there, we pushed south into the alps to hike the Zugspitze and then ended the trip in the Austrian cities of Innsbruck and Achensee. There were plenty of times things did not go according to plan like catching trains and finding places to get good kebabs, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
