Dakshineswar Skywalk – All You Want To Know About Kolkata’s First Sky Walk

Dakshineswar Kali Temple is one of the most popular place in West Bengal where people are coming from all over India and even from other countries. In the year 1855 Rani Rashmoni was founded this Kali temple and after that it became one of the most visited places in West Bengal.

Due to the heavy footfalls during every day the only road to the temple, Rani Rashmoni Road was quite over crowded. As it was the only way toward the main gate of Dakshineswar Kali temple, all cars, riksha and pedestrian used it. This was the reason why so many accidents happend in this road and also it would take more time to enter the temple.

To solve this problem 2015 Chief minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee propose a Sky Walk above this road. The work was done by KMDA in the year 2018 November and it was opened for all people.
