Auden’s Col Trek is considered as the most dangerous passes in Garhwal Himalayas as it binds two glaciers, one is Katling Glacier and other one is Jogin. Roopkund is a perfect mixture of undulating meadows, lakes, snow-caps, folklore and a mysterious past too. Roopkund is also called “Mysterious Lake” as in 1942 almost 200 skeleton discovered near the frozen lake. Initially it was believed that the skeletons are of those Japanese soldiers who had died while crossing the route during World War II.
