Five Natural Reasons for Visiting Manual Antonio, CR
Costa Rica is one of Central America’s most beautiful countries. Besides being a neutral country that patterns Sweden, it has no army and is home to the large natural fauna and flora reservations. One such natural habitat is the town of Manuel Antonio, located on the outskirts of the national theme park.
Manuel Antonio is about ninety minutes from the capital, San Jose. It is accessible by bus, private tours, or on your rented vehicle. The city kisses the Atlantic Ocean and is home to more than 150,000 farmers, fishermen, and entrepreneurs.
Summer is the ideal time to visit any part of Costa Rica. The truth is there are only two climatic seasons in most of Central America. The rainy season, mostly June to November, and the dry season called summer.
Summer begins about mid-November but is undoubtedly active from December through April. Sometimes the rains come in April, but more surely about mid-May. So, the best bet is between December and April.
Of all the beaches that caress the Costa Rican coastline, Manuel Antonio is my favorite, and here is why.
The beaches in CR are usually black sand beaches that tend to go heavy on the feet as they amass more pebbles. Yet, Manuel Antonio boasts some endless stretches of clean, white sand beaches.
You can lie on the sand, build sandcastles, or swim to your delight. The water is not very deep, so it is safe for the kids too.
If you are a fan of wandering around in your natural birth suit, then here is an ideal place for you. There are several private beaches that are completely secure, where you can get back to the garden of Eden.
Be sure to bring your skin tan along. The summer sun can be pure heat. Try going nude early morning or late evening.
If you have never seen oxen at work, then you will get your first experience as you will find farmers preparing their lands with oxen and hand-made plow shares. Although the larger farms use some mechanization, most rural areas are still a thing snatched from the pages of history.
These farmers are rather friendly and will soon be sharing their techniques with you. You can learn how to guide the oxen as they plow or even do the plowing yourself!
You will find that it is pure fun and easy once you get the hang of it.
As you roll out in one of these small boat tours, you will notice how untouched the natural habitat is in Manuel Antonio. Thousands of fish. Crabs, starfishes, and other species roam among the beautiful flowers, sewed, and algae that cover the ocean floor.
Fishing is permitted and you can get your feet wet with the guides who are experts with hook-and-line type fishing. If you are successful in catching a fish, they will cook it before your very eyes.
Manuel Antonio is very popular for its nightlife. Whether you are single, married with a family, or just a young couple, you can easily fit in.
